The reason I named my company Innovative Treestands is because when I decided to build a treestand I wanted them to be completely different than anyone else's with fresh ideas & new concepts. I did not want to be repetitive with my stands looking like everyone else's, as most are today. I feel I have accomplished this with all the products in our line.
No one in the treestand industry has addressed the issues that the hunters have wanted for years. That being light weight, adaptable, user friendly, adjustable and packable. Most are the opposite.
Being a bow hunter myself, for over 40 years and owning an archery pro shop for over 35 years, I realized there was a need for better equipment and products in general. I sold a lot of products, treestands included, that I felt were sub-standard with very little quality or thought built in. I focused my attention on treestands because I got tired of sitting side-ways in a tree or worse, sitting in a tree 40 yards in the wrong direction because there were no straight trees close to my hunting area.
My focus was to create a stand that would, literally, level any angle. So I began making some drawings and eventually a prototype. My first idea was changed several times and I kept upgrading it as I went. The object was to get the stand in a wedge design so it would fit any and all size tree limbs from 6" and up. I accomplished that with the 4 leveling tubes -2 under seat and 2 at the base. I added a 3 slot base leveler, as well, that worked off the side cables. My last feature was by mistake. I was trying to determine a good seat height and realized I had the same 1" tubing for the base as I did for the seat tubes, so I added an adjustable telescoping seat height as well. It adjusts from 18" to 28".
